Apple has released iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1, minor bug fix updates for iPhone and iPad. The updates arrive just over two weeks after iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 shipped on March 24.

According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1 contain bug fixes. Apple has not specified which bugs are addressed. The updates do not include any security content, according to Apple’s security updates page.
iOS 26.4 introduced a bug affecting iCloud notifications — specifically CloudKit push notifications that many apps rely on to sync data in the background. That issue is widely expected to be among the fixes in this update, though Apple has not confirmed it explicitly.
Build Number and Compatibility
iOS 26.4.1 and iPadOS 26.4.1 carry build number 23E254. The updates are available for all devices that support iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 — iPhone 11 and later, and all iPads compatible with iPadOS 26.
How to Update
Go to Settings → General → Software Update to download and install iOS 26.4.1 or iPadOS 26.4.1. The update is available over the air and does not require a computer.
Apple is already beta testing iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5 with developers, with a public release expected in May ahead of WWDC 2026 in June.
